Nannies · London

Filipino nannies for families in London

We introduce experienced nannies to families across London, live-in or live-out, full-time or part-time. You tell us about your children and your routine; we send you candidates who fit, with their experience and references, and you interview them and choose.

What we check before you meet her

  • Her right to work in the UK, before she appears on the site.
  • Her experience with children: ages, routines, school runs, newborns if you need it.
  • References from the families she has worked for, with their phone number so you can call them yourself.
  • How well she speaks English — we talk to every candidate.
  • A basic DBS certificate, if she provides one: you will see it on her profile.

Live-in or live-out

A live-in nanny has her own room in your home, agreed working hours and days off — usually two consecutive days a week. A live-out nanny comes for agreed hours or days. Both are paid at least the National Living Wage for every hour worked (£12.71 an hour from April 2026).

In London a live-in nanny or housekeeper is usually paid between £600 and £850 a week gross, depending on hours, duties and experience; live-out nannies are paid by the hour or by the day. You agree the salary with her directly.

You are the employer

You employ her directly, as families in the UK do with domestic staff: a written statement of her terms from her first day, PAYE with HMRC (income tax and National Insurance), paid holiday of 5.6 weeks a year, a workplace pension if she qualifies, and the right insurance cover (many nanny payroll packages include employer's liability insurance). A nanny payroll service can run all of it for a small monthly fee; we introduce you to one if you wish.

Right to work

We check every candidate's right to work in the UK before we introduce her: a British or Irish passport, or a Home Office share code for settled or pre-settled status, indefinite leave to remain or a visa that allows this work. As her employer you must also check it yourself before she starts — that check is what protects you, and employing someone without the right to work can mean a civil penalty of up to £60,000 per worker.

Our fee

Meeting candidates is free. If you hire someone we introduced, our fee is one month of her gross salary, paid once, seven days after she starts. For 12 months, if it does not work out for any reason, we find you another candidate at no extra cost, as many times as needed. There are no monthly fees, and candidates never pay us anything.

About our name

"Filipina at Home" is our name, and many of our candidates come from the Filipino community in London. We introduce candidates on the basis of their experience, references and right to work — we do not select or exclude anyone because of their nationality or any other protected characteristic.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can you introduce a nanny?+

It depends on your area and on what you need. In London we usually have candidates to suggest within days. We tell you honestly from the first message what we have.

Can we interview her before deciding?+

Yes. You speak to her directly, by phone, video call or in person, and you decide. Many families also agree a short paid trial.

Is she Ofsted registered?+

Some nannies are registered on the voluntary part of the Ofsted Childcare Register, which may let you use Tax-Free Childcare. If that matters to you, tell us and we will say which candidates are registered.

Do you charge the nanny?+

Never. The service is always free for candidates, as UK law requires.
